Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

A recent gathering in Madrid brought together religious representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, promoted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, placed emphasis on intercultural coexistence, religious freedom and respect. The round table included Clarisa Nieva news eu wahlen of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers presented personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how education can reduce prejudice.

Throughout the gathering, participants explored themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity contributes to democratic life when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
